Emerging from their third year in Saudi Arabia, MDLBeast’s SoundStorm Music Festival has become a first event of its kind in the country and the self-described “loudest in the region.” With staggering 800,000 attendees it’s now the largest music festival in the world too, dwarfing world famous events like Las Vegas’ Electric Daisy Carnival and Belgium’s Tomorrowland by comparison. With bigger attendance numbers and broader international appeal, the festival is arguably more important to Saudi Arabia than Woodstock was for America in the ‘60s. Specifically for women in the Middle East, this is an important moment. For the first time…

When I first saw ISOxo play in Los Angeles in late 2021 for his debut headline with Brownies & Lemonade, I was left feeling like he was the future. We’d already had him on our Artists To Watch in 2020 list published late 2019, but thanks to the pandemic, it was nearly two years later before I was able to actually see for myself the power he commanded from on-stage. Clearly, many people now have the same impression since ISOxo, and by association a lot of his contemporaries like Knock2 and FrostTop, have similarly risen the ranks of popularity and…

It’s been nearly a full year since Subtronics released his debut album FRACTALS back in January. It’s almost poetic for him to begin the year with his debut album and essentially cap it off with the remix and VIP album, a full circle moment. ANTIFRACTALS features ten VIP versions from himself and remixes from the likes of Virtual Riot, Peekaboo, Wooli, A Hundred Drums, and more. Subtronics says, “‘ANTIFRACTALS’ is the follow-up VIP and remix album to ‘FRACTALS’ which dropped last year. It includes tons of VIPS by me and remixes from some of my favorite artists out there. I’m honored to…

The incurably optimistic Joey Stiver encourages everyone to take a listen to his latest track fittingly titled “Never Leave”. Pure positivity reigns supreme on the piece, neatly dovetailing it into his quickly growing discography. Another example of his “each project is different” philosophy, this one has a distinctly retro flair to it, though the lyrics hint at the contemporary longing for the past. Due to his refusal to be pigeonholed it is a delight to see his journey through so many different genres, and how effectively he captures the spirit of each one. Production, like usual, continues to have crystal…

Since 2016, Your EDM has endeavored to feature 40 completely new artists, every year, that we believe will achieve great things the following year. As of this year’s list, that means we have previously featured 280 unique artists over the course of seven years. The list has evolved in its early years from simply “which big artists have albums to look out for next year” to “who are the smaller artists that are doing something exceptional,” meaning we have had the opportunity to feature an incredible number of talented producers and musicians, many of whom have truly gone on to…

1tbsp is a side-project by Australian artist Maxwell Byrne (aka Golden Vessel), who has developed an addictive sound around this project. Over the last few weeks, 1tbsp released three new singles – Joan // 2007 // Seasons (feat. Squidgenini) – while also making promise of a new four-track ep titled ‘Joan’ coming our way very soon. Well, that promise has been fulfilled, as the ‘Joan‘ EP is beautiful, mesmeric experience from start to finish. His sampling is so precise and unique, part of what makes his music stand out so much. The newest addition to the EP is “Castillo“, a thumping deep…
